ENABLING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

MY SON IS MY INSPIRATION

My son Elliot cannot walk, talk, or function by himself. Caring for him becomes more physically challenging every year. Caregiver assistive devices should be highly adjustable and modifiable as he grows, but they aren’t. Wheelchairs and walkers should have all of the same occupant and caregiver accessories of strollers, but they don’t. Every little improvement makes life easier and more dignified. Our goal is to make life more manageable in three key areas:

  • MOBILITY

Wheelchairs, prosthetics, and vehicles are designed with the basic goal of moving a person from point A to point B, but each user has unique physical features and abilities that can Be enhanced with customization.

  • FUNCTIONALITY

Every person with physical challenges wants to make the most of their capabilities, but no two impairments are exactly alike. Users need professionals to help them adapt mass produced items to meet individual needs and invent customized tools.

  • CAREGIVING

Mass produced tools help caregivers lift, move, clean, and feed the people they care for, but those tools must also be individually adapted to meet the unique requirements of the individual being assisted and the environment they live in.
